La Albumina sérica bovina por sus siglas en inglés (BSA) es una proteína usada ampliamente en el área de cultivo celular ya que proporciona componentes que no están en el medio. Su principal función es que por su carga negativa se une a partículas removiendo así sustancias tóxicas como pirógenos en el medio de cultivo.
